Alexandra Gillett
Alexandra Gillett brings over a decade of experience representing clients across the country in high-stakes matters involving federal law, administrative proceedings, and adversarial hearings. She is known for her strategic approach to problem-solving and her ability to navigate challenging legal issues with clarity and precision. For years she worked in immigration law, during which she represented clients in both court and administrative proceedings, developing strong advocacy skills and extensive experience managing complex, evolving legal issues. She has handled evidentiary hearings and appeals and is well-versed in analyzing overlapping legal frameworks, including employment, regulatory, criminal, and compliance considerations.
Prior to DMH, Alexandra served as a supervising attorney for a national law firm, where she managed a team of attorneys and legal staff, helped develop new practice areas, and played a key role in firm operations and strategic planning. She also founded and operated her own law firm, gaining first hand experience in business management, client counseling, and risk assessment—perspective she now brings to advising clients.
Alexandra earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Education and Spanish from the University of Michigan. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and is admitted in both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
