Derek Howard

Derek Howard worked in the Oakland County Circuit Court as a Judicial Staff Attorney for over twelve years. This role provided Derek with substantial experience in varying areas of the law, including: general civil, criminal, and appellate.

But it was Derek’s final six years at the Circuit Court where he discovered his passion for business law. In June of 2013, Michigan began the Business Court docket in circuit courts across the state, and Derek worked in one such Business Court from day one. This provided Derek with the opportunity to work on literally hundreds of business cases – from small to vastly complex.

Litigation can be overwhelming. Derek leverages his experience in the courtroom to help guide his clients through the process in terms they understand, so his clients can make the decisions they are comfortable making - business decisions.
